Camp on the Road 2012

Camp on the Road was born over family dinner at Kate’s one night.   The week before school begins has little to offer in the way of camps.  We decided to bring our own children along (they were somewhat reluctant to spend a week in a van with 12 small children) but we didn’t give them much of a choice.  Each day brought a different adventure around the Bay Area.

Here is our itinerary:

Day 1: Happy Hollow Park and Zoo in San Jose
Day 2: Kite flying Berkeley Marina and hiking and swimming at Lake Temescal
Day 3: Silliman Family Aquatics Center in Newark and Hayward Shoreline Park hike
Day 4: Curi-Odyssey
Day 5: Lindsey Wildlife Museum

It was a huge success, a great inaugural effort and we will definitely do it again (not sure our kids will join us next time).  We are looking forward to next year’s adventure.
